Twelve selected artists will showcase their artwork this Summer
at
Galeria Moderna, Waterloo London.
​
Each artist must submit two works of art that best represent themselves as an artist.
The Contest is open to all artists, there is no theme to the contest and all mediums of art including photography can be entered for this competition.
Performance and video art are the only mediums excluded.
Artwork size must not exceed 130cm x 130cm x 65cm
for artworks to be hung on the wall.
Sculptures must not exceed 130cm Height x 60cm x 60cm.


Judges are instructed to select a diverse mix of styles and mediums to make for what we feel to be, one of the most inclusive art contests in the UK.
Twelve Artists are selected & with a rotation of judges, previous award winners and applicants have a fresh opportunity each year.

Special guest judges for the 3rd London Invitational are renowned painter sculptor John Doubleday
& Castle fine Art manager Stacy Bodkin.

We are thrilled to announce for the first time, Galeria Moderna's very own seasonal gallery will house the Summer exhibition & the preview awards evening.
​
For one week during our Summer Exhibition, from the 11th - 17th August the winning artworks will be exhibited .
​
Each winner and a guest will be invited to attend our preview and awards evening on Saturday 16th August and receive their
London Invitational Art Award, and become part of the Galeria Moderna Family.​
​
The preview evening will include further individual awards, prizes, drinks and a chance to chat to our judges, patrons and industry professionals.
The evening will also provide great publicity opportunities with media interviews.
​
Total cost of entry including both images just £38 in total.
NB. ALL JUDGES ARE UNAWARE OF INVITEE OR WILDCARD STATUS TO ENSURE A UNBIASED FAIR JUDGING SYSTEM.
Permanent Online Gallery
Global exposure with Cass Art Interview.
Cass Art, the UK's leading commercial art supplies retailer, will host interviews with the twelve winning artists on their acclaimed blog interview page.
Cass Art's blog page also promotes interviews with the winning artists of
Sky Art's Portrait, Landscape Artist of the year and
The Galeria Moderna, London, Cambridge and Oxford Invitationals.
This collaboration will provide excellent national exposure for the twelve winning artists.

Galeria Moderna also hosts a permanent online gallery on our website HUB
showcasing the winning artworks for each of our contests as a historic record.


During the awards and preview evening three of the twelve winning artists are eligible for one of the following additional awards and prizes including exclusive prizes from our Patrons of the Arts...

Meet the judges.
We have assembled a superb cross section of Judges for this years competition, who will provide a balanced and varied selection process. This system provides the opportunity for a diverse selection of artists to showcase their art directly to these influential national, city gallery owners and art lovers across the UK.

All judges are instructed to select a diverse mix of styles and mediums to make for what we feel to be, one of the most inclusive art contests in the UK.




John Doubleday
Special Guest judge John Doubleday - John studied sculpture at Goldsmiths College. Since his first show at the Waterhouse gallery in London in 1968 he has enjoyed more than 30 one man exhibitions in Britain, America and the Continent. His work can be divided into two distinct categories: commissioned work and the paintings and sculpture produced for exhibition
